What is Free Food In...
Local communities working together to take control of food waste and poverty.
We founded our first Facebook group for Warrington in 2017, and ever since then, we've been striving to bring our community-led food sharing concept to every town and city in the UK.

Each year the average household wastes £540 of edible food and drink; that's enough to fill Wembley Stadium nine times over! (http://www.wrap.org.uk)
Our locally-run Facebook groups are for local communities to share their unused food with neighbours who are struggling to make ends meet.
How it Works
FIND SPARE FOOD
Search through your cupboards, fridges and freezers for any in-date food you won't use
TAKE A PHOTO
Use your phone to take a photo of your spare food and upload it to your local Free Food In... group on Facebook for collection
MATCHING
A family in need will get in touch with you via the group to arrange collection of your items

If we aren't in your local area yet, please contact us for help and advice to set one up in your local community. Running a local group costs nothing except for the time and effort of its volunteers.
